LP2985: OCP and OTP threshold and accuracy

Part Number: LP2985

hi Team,

I'd like to ask for your help about LP2985-33 OCP and OTP details:

1. what's the set point for OCP and OTP?

2. does there any hysteresis for OCP and OTP?

3. what's the accuracy for OCP and OTP?

Thanks.

  • Hello,

This is a fairly old part and unfortunately we don't, any longer, have information beyond what is available in the datasheet. Going by the datasheet, it appears that the set point for Over Current Protection is ~400mA. Typically Over temperature protection is activated when the junction temperature exceeds 160C and when the junction temperature cools to around 140C, the thermal protection circuit is disabled and the output circuitry is re-enabled. Since the part uses standard OTP, it is reasonable to expect these value to be the set point and the hysteresis respectively. Apologies, but we don't have the information on accuracy of OTP & OCP or its hysteresis. Thanks!

    Regards,
