TPS40170: About difference between TPS40170 and TPS40171

Hi Team,

We would like to know the difference between TPS40170 and TPS40171.

We understand that both devices are same spec and function.

Is my understanding correct?

If no, could you please let us know the different pint(Spec and function ext.)?

Hi Hide,

Actually, the preferred part for new designs is the LM5145 75V controller (or its higher and lower Vin versions - the LM5146 and LM25145, respectively). The control structure is voltage mode, and it is equivalent to that used in the TPS40170.

Thank you for your prompt reply and advice.

Currently, we use TPS40170 for current project.

However, we can't get TPS40170.

Therefore, we would like to replace from TPS40170 to TPS40171.

We would like to know the difference between TPS40170 and TPS40171.

We understand that both devices are same spec and function.

My understanding is the TPS40171 is a good replacement, but I'm not sure that is available either.
