Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS546D24
If I'm already using TPS546D24 in a design, what considerations will i need if i move to TPS546D24A? In short, are they drop in replacement parts (pinout and firmware)?

Hello,
The TPS546D24 and TPS546D24A are pin-to-pin compatible. It is also a drop in replacement. As far as firmware considerations go, I would verify that the part is addressed correctly in firmware before proceeding. The PMBus protocol will be the same. Please refer to the TPS546D24A datasheet for the supported PMBus commands.

An additional question that's come up. What is the upgraded functionality for the A version?
The TPS546D24A supports a greater range of PMBus commands and provides support over a broader temperature range. It is pin to pin compatible with the TPS546D24, however some of the pin detect options are modified as well, so please consult the datasheet for design changes needed if changing between the 2 parts.

The nonA version datasheet doesnt have enough information. Is there a full DS you can send to my email? k-cartwright@ti.com
