TPS53319: Enable voltage should not higher then VREG for 0.8 V.

Part Number: TPS53319

Hi,

At the datasheet page of 19, it was mentioned - Enable voltage should not higher then VREG for 0.8 V.

Could you explain what it means? Under the absolute ratings, the EN pin could tolerate 7.0V max.

Thanks.

Best rgds,

KLP

  • The 5-V LDO is not controlled by the EN pin. The LDO starts-up any time VDD rises to approximately 2 V.

Enable pin voltage should not be higher than VREG by 0.8 V.

Typical turn-on enable threshold voltage is 1.3 V. Typical enable turn-off threshold voltage is 1.0 V.

The absolute maximum voltage rating is 7V on the enable pin.

  • Hi David,

Thanks for the response. So in absolute terms, the EN pin should not go beyond 5.8V. Thanks.
