TPS65400-Q1: Buck Regulator Efficiencies at 3.3V, 5V, & 12V?

Part Number: TPS65400-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65279, LM61460, LM62460-Q1, TPS7H4010-SEP

Hello,

I've been shopping for a while trying to identify the best buck regulators for a design that will have:

  • 14V < Vin < 18V
  • Vout1 = 12V+/-3% @ <4A
  • Vout2 = 5V+/-3% @ <4A
  • Vout3 = 3.3V+/-2% @ <4A
  • Vout4 = 3.3V+/-2% @ <2A
  • -40--125C or better

I need enables & power good indication for each of these output rails along with voltage, current, & temperature protections.  An error indicator, I2C port, watchdog timer, or other types of error detection/protection/alerting are desired.

My primary TI candidate components are:

  • TPS65400-Q1
  • TPS65279
  • LM61460
  • LM62460-Q1
  • TPS7H4010-SEP

Can you provide me efficiency data for any of these for each of my output voltages & my input conditions?  I understand that this might be very low volume characterization data, not any kind of production test or product guarantee.  Also, if you have any recommendations towards a more efficient component for my application range, I'd appreciate the suggestion.

Thank you for your assistance,

Gary Andrew
