TPS63802: does the OVP function actively discharge the output?

Hi team,

with the feedback and load disconnected, can you please clarify how the OVP function works step by step?

customer is seeing the output quickly pull down below the threshold voltage which causes the device to continue switching. this is repeated over and over which results in a very high power consumption.

is this the expected behavior? the ideal is like how TPS61021A OVP behaves where when the threshold is reached, it stops switching until the VOUT floats back under on its own before it resumes switching.
