BQ24780S: Bat UVLO in BQ24780S

Hi,

 Charger designed with BQ24780S

issue is when battery is disconnected from charger and the load is drived directly from Vsys for 2A say, charger is getting off at lower voltage range, say my input is 12V and Bat is 8.4V , and when battery disconnected, it loads and resets till voltage increased to13V. but when Battery is connected, it works fine without loading at 12V itself.

may i know any UVLO settings done,. .ACDET is designed to power on at 8.5V so ,it is not an issue

    Hi Kavitha,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    1. Are you removing the battery at the same time adaptor is present and SYS is loaded up?

    2. Do you mean that if you remove the battery, there is no voltage on SYS?

    3. Can you check if the input FETs (driven by ACDRV) are turned off the moment you removed the battery? 

    Please make sure you are not tripping one of the protections in the datasheet.
