TPS25940-Q1: Reverse protection comparator threshold

Part Number: TPS25940-Q1

Hi experts,

How to understand below two specs? For reverse protection threshold, my understanding is when Vout-Vin exceeds the detection threshold, it will trigger reverse protection, so I think the threshold should be 66mV. But here is another spec, 100mV. What's the meaning of falling and rising threshold? Thank you.

  • Hi Arie,

This is the hysteresis. Vrevth means that when VIN-VOUT < Vrevth then device starts blocking reverse current and enter into reverse current blocking mode.

Now to exit from reverse current blocking and again start delivering forward power VIN-VOUT should be greater than Vfwdth.
