TLV62568: Iq is not maching to the datasheet

Thanks for coming to us about your queries.

First, Iq is defined as the current drawn by the IC in a no-load and non-switching but enabled condition (see attached app note for details). In actual application, the device is still switching to maintain the output voltage even at no-load conditions. The second item I wanted to highlight is the accuracy of the current meter. If the equipment has low accuracy in measuring low current (tenths of uA), there will be a significant error.

Can you share the test setup and equipment on the input current measurement?

Are you using our EVM or your board in the evaluation?

Thanks for sharing the PCB layout.

It is not yet clear to me how did you measure the input current. Did you disconnect the output of TLV62568 to other parts of the circuit before measuring the input current? What equipment did you use? If you can provide the schematic diagram and a photo of your test setup, that will be helpful.

I have using this tool (https://www.nordicsemi.com/Products/Development-hardware/Power-Profiler-Kit-2) to supply voltage to the power supply section and then measure the current with the same tool.

Is "BAT" connected to any part of the circuit except TLV62568? Can you remove R44 and re-measure the input current? It will be great if you can share the complete schematic diagram so I can better understand the circuit operation. If it is confidential, you can send me a private message, and I attached the file.

R44 is connected on board to test the no-load current.

BAT is connected to only the power analyzer which is supplying power to the TLV circuit.

You can trust me, there nothing else connected to the TLV circuit neither on the input side nor on the output side so other circuits are irrelevant.

I(Q) is 100% tested in our production line. Hence, we are confident that the value should be in the same ballpark indicated in the datasheet unless the device is slightly damaged or degraded, which causes an increase in I(Q).

Did you try to replace it with a sample and check the I(Q)? Does the I(Q) decrease? Kindly share the data.
In addition, can you capture the SW pin voltage waveform and measure the switching frequency so I can compare it with our EVM?
