UCC28881: TINA-TI simulation mode and Cout value

Hello,

My customer has some questions about UCC28881.

Now they are migrating from UCC28880 to UCC28881.

Do you have TINA-TI simulation model for UCC28881?

They says that both WEBENCH results and datasheets say that UCC28881 requires larger Cout value to realize the same VOUT ripple as UCC28880.

They would like to know the reason of it.

The available simulation model of UCC28881 is Pspice model, there is no TINA mode since it is old part. You can download Pspice mode from below link.

Regarding to Cout of UCC28881, Here is my comments"

Output Current of UCC28880 Up to 100 mA for CCM and 70 mA for DCM, But output current of UCC28881 up to 225mA for CCM and 150mA for DCM. So UCC28881 can support more power and it need larger COUT for higher power. If you design the same power level for UCC28880 and UCC28881, then the COUT is same.
