LM76002: Current Limit

In the d/s, there are three types of the current limit. One is high side current limit, another is low side current limit other is Negative current limit.

What's the negative current limit? Is negative current generated during CCM operation mode?

Could you explain the different in between? Very thanks.

Hello

The negative current limit is designed to protect the low side MOSFET from over-current.

When in FPWM mode you may have current flowing in the opposite direction to the normal flow, during a transient or

light load.

The attached note may be helpful in explaining the other forms of current limit.

Another question is that why the high side current limit range is different to low side current limit range? Why both are not identical design?

Hello

The peak and valley current limit circuits are very different, and will have different variations in their respective current limits.
