TL431-Q1: The drift over temperature

Part Number: TL431-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TL431

Hi team

my customer want to know the voltage drift over temperature when VKA>VREF. in the datasheet, it only lists the drift when VKA = VREF. could you provide this information?

BTW, do TL43xA-Q1 and TL43XB-Q1 have the same drift range over temperature? it looks like that in datasheet.

Best Regards

Duoduo

  • Hi Duoduo,

    1. The deviation parameters Vref(dev) and Iref(dev) are defined as the differences between the maximum and minimum values obtained over the rated temperature range. The average full-range temperature coefficient of the reference input voltage αVref is defined as:

      1. You can find this information in the TL431 datasheet.
      2. However, for VKA>VREF is not just dependent on TL431. It is also dependent on the resistors and what types were used to create the resistive divider. We can use to above plot to extrapolate the behavior of TL431 but TI cannot guarantee the resistor behavior. If the resistor has a similar plot, we could use it together to calculate the deviation.
    2. Yes, it seems to be the same drift for both grades
