Hi Linna,
Can you please help provide the following details,
Hi Praveen,
Thanks for replying me.
The LOT is 1011078EM1.
We used Q-Tips to rub the acetone on the surface, which lead to the dissolution of the paint. The acetone we use attached.
We used a new camera with a shadow effect mode, which shows the paint brush strokes on the part (this part was not treated with acetone, so you could see the surface irregularities).
Looking forward to your feedback, thank you and best regards.
Hi Linna,
TI follows JESD22-B107D for marking permanency test and specs are different for laser marked and ink marked packages as mentioned in the JEDEC standard. Looks like acetone is not listed in this standard. May we know purpose of this test ?
Hi Praveen,
Is it means that the acetone test can't be used to test if the ink marked package parts are from original?
Because not just form origianl direct and authorized distributor, sometimes we bought parts from brokers. Acetone test is one of the methods we used to test if the parts are new&original.
The LOT:1011078EM1 we bought them from authorized distributor, we test them with acetone and the shadow effect mode camera for comparing what we bought from other sources.
Hi Linna,
Thanks for the information. I understand why you are doing this test now. Let me check with my internal team and get back to you within 2 days on the validity of using Acetone and verify the Lot no. that you have provided.
Hi Linna,
Please see our quality team's response below:
The laser dust can be removed by acetone for the laser marked packages but the groove should be visible from the side. From the LOT code provided by you, we can confirm that the devices are authentic. Please let us know the lot code next time you want to confirm the authenticity of devices.
Hi Linna,
Can you confirm if you have seen similar scratches on all of the samples you have received or on only few of them ?
Also the lot code of this sample is LOT:1011078EM1 , right ?
Hi Praveen,
I'm sorry for didn't get you a quick answer here. I had forward the same question to warehouse but have got reply yet, they were too busy lately and some of them are on holiday. I'll let you know once I got the feedback.
And Yes, the LOT is 1011078EM1 for the sample.
Hi Parveen,
Can you use the pic that I have already sent to applied to the whole reel parts? They clearly have unusual scratches and it seems other reels don't have such scratches.
We believe that this LOT is from original but why this reel is so special?
