LM317: Diode selection

Part Number: LM317

Hi Team, 

The diode 1N4002 shown in LM317 datasheet have been EOLed. 

Customer wants to know what should they care about when selecting following diodes.

Could you let us know? Customer is now thinking Vmax rating, Vf and leakage current. 

Is there anything else customer should be careful?

    Hi Jo,

             These Diodes are external components, and we at TI are not experts on these components. Therefore, unfortunately, we cant provide specific suggestions regarding the component replacements or their electrical features. However any Diode that matches 1N4002 in electrical characteristics would be a low risk workable option.
