BQ24081: No battery LED OFF

Hi 

The customer is using BQ24081.

However, LED operating is different from customer specification.

LED blinks in no battery condition, I understand this is the default action.

Q1) Can I turn off the LED in the no battery state?

Q2) If LED off doesn't work, please recommend a product that turns off LED on no battery. The same specification as BQ24081 is fine.

Spec : 1 cell, charge voltage 4.2V, charge current 1A or 1.5A

    Hi Cho SR, 

    1) No, unfortunately there is no option to adjust how the charge status output pins operate on the BQ24081.

    2)  The BQ24040 is an option with 1A charge current and 4.2V charge voltage. It has a slightly different pin out to the BQ24081, but its charge status output pin /CHG (which can drive an LED) will be off when no battery is connected.
