TPS549D22: TPS549D22

Part Number: TPS549D22

Hi Team,

We need clarification on the listed quires, please update at the earliest.

  1. Does a restart need to occur to clock in TPS549D22 changes via its pin strap programming pins?
  2. Does a restart need to occur to clock in TPS549D22 changes via its 8-bit PMBus?

  • Hi Raghavendra,

The TPS549D22 does require a restart to latch changes in the pin strap programming pins. When the VDD pin of the device first reaches its UVLO threshold upon power up, the device will read the pin strap pins and latch those values until the next power cycle.

The TPS549D22 does not require a restart to clock changes in its 8-bit PMBus. These changes will occur shortly after writing a value to the desired PMBus register. If you want to maintain any changes to the PMBus register contents that were made during a device restart, please note that a 11h STORE_DEFAULT_ALL is necessary to store the contents of the operating memory to non-volatile memory. This is only necessary to maintain changes you have made to the PMBus memory upon a device reset.
