LP8863-Q1: LED driver which can drive 230mA per channel

Hi team,

We now have a requirement for a backlight driver, which requires: 230mA per channel, voltage is 30V, 3 strings of LEDs. Is there any suitable solution recommended?

If not, what is the drawback of making 2 channels of LP8863 parallel to drive one string of LED?

Yes, you may consider LP8866/LP8863 for the application by combining each two channels together.

Then will combing 2 channels together influence Open LED Fault or Short LED Fault?

Wendy,

No impact. Channel with open LED or short LED string will be removed from adaptive voltage control and won't work.
