LM63635-Q1: risks of LM63635 to replace 63625 and 63615

Part Number: LM63635-Q1

Hi team,

The main difference among LM63615, LM63625 and LM63635 is the current capability. Can LM63635 be used to replace 63625 and 63615?
Will LM63635 have problems such as unstable work when driving some light loads?

Seen from the efficiency curve, it will not deteriorate. Are there any other risks to replace 63625 and 63615?

Thanks & best regards,

Wendy

  • Hello

The higher current device can be substituted for the low current devices.

The customer may need to use an inductor with a saturation current rating equal to the LM63635 current limit.

Also, there are small difference between the internal compensation.

The best way to test these differences is to use the component calculator tool on the product page

and compare the devices under the customer application requirements.

    Thanks
