The EVM is broken after the ERR and FS pin short together. How do i fix it?
Hi,
Please give us more details about the situation. For example, at that time FS connects to High or low. The situation of the EVM right now, and so on.
And can you explain why they could short together? by person or just unexpected.
The configuration is the same of TPS929120EVM User's Guide(April 2019–Revised December 2019) table 1.
I would like to trace if the behavior match the describe on datasheet.
Maybe the probe touch them(i use J19) together unexpectedly.
The EVM can't connect after that.
Hi, can you tell me the supply voltage you set? the Error connects to the LDO with a pull-up resistor. And in table 1, FS connects to the supply.
After your description, it seems like you connect the supply(higher than LDO) to LDO, also the supply connects to the Err directly.
ERR Pin might afford the supply because of the open-drain output.
For LDO part, it seems that it will be some problem.
actually, the LDO is a part of the chip. if it is broken, the chip will not work. You can give the chips a supply voltage, and test the +5V pin to see the result.
By the way, the CAN chip and the voltage transfer chip are also connected to the +5V. in the datasheet, it can not afford such a 12V.
I am not sure they can work or not.
sorry, there is no service about this.
