TPS7B69-Q1: Comparison with NCV8730

Part Number: TPS7B69-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS7B84-Q1

Hi team,

Could you please kindly suggest a replacement solution for NCV8730ASNADJT1G and provide a comparison table?

I found several parts with similar EC specs, and TPS7B69-Q1 is the lowest cost one among them. May I know whether SOT-23-5 package is the same as TSOP-5? I compared the package dimensions but can not tell due to the tolerance.

Thanks,

Scarlett

  • Hey there,

I found a better option than TPS7B69-Q1,which is TPS7B84-Q1, but the only downside is the price.

    TPS7B69-Q1 price: $0.232 | 1ku

    TPS7B84-Q1 price: $0.534 | 1ku

If you can tell me what variables I can play with or what factors are most important to you, so I can see if there are better recommendations.

    For the package sizing issue:

X:2.75-3.05 (mentioned in the link above as "A")
Y:1.45-1.75 (mentioned in the link above as "B")

    TSOP-5:

X:2.85-3.15 (mentioned in the link above as "A")
Y:1.35-1.65 (mentioned in the link above as "A")

From what I can see, they are the same.

Let me know if there is anything else I can help in.

  • Hi Youssef,

Thanks for your reply. I promoted TPS7B84-Q1 to customer since adjustable output feature is also wanted. However, customer would like to know if we have DCY package of TPS7B8401? I see for the fixed voltage version of TPS7B84 we have leaded package DCY part, but adjustable version doesn't. They need to evaluate the device for urgent replacement so leaded package is easier for flying wire soldering and evaluation. They don't have time to redo layout and evaluate in the real system.

Or do you have other recommendation?

    Thanks,

    Scarlett

  • Hello there again, we do not have any adjustable products when it comes to the SOT-23 package. The TPS7B84-Q1 is only adjustable in the DRB package. Are you in need of a SOT-23 package? It's also important to mention that there are not any SOT-23 options with wide Vin ranges.
