LM25149-Q1: IOUT difference of each phase during single-output two-phase operation

Part Number: LM25149-Q1

Hello Team,

I have a question about LM25149-Q1 dual phase operation.

Q. We use 2 units of LM25149-Q1 as single-output two-phase operation. Can I ask how much IOUT difference of each phase?

(for example, if 10A total output, the phase may shift up to 6A+4A, or 7A+3A...)

Thanks,

Yuta Kurimoto

  • Hi Yuta,

The current sharing in dual phase can vary depending on how well the COMP and AGND nodes are coupled together.

A closely coupled COMP and AGND will give better current sharing.

I can share with you preliminary results on our dual phase design when I return to lab Monday.

    Thanks,

    -Orlando

  • Hi Yuta,

I measured a dual-phase board, the current matching is around 2% (7.99A & 8.18A). This will be published as a reference design soon.

In general the current matching should be 10% or less.

    Hope this help,
