LMZM23601: used in 6V output design

Part Number: LMZM23601

Hello Guys,

Good day.

Our customer is using the adjustable output version, set to 6V. Unfortunately due to stocks issues they cannot source any of this parts. Therefore, They were wondering if they can use the fixed output 5V version and shift the feedback voltage with a potential divider to get it to output 6V?

They have simulated it using PSpice and it seems to work okay. Is there any reasons why this shouldn't work? Input voltage is 24V, part is 1A device.

They've noticed that the switching frequency is different between the adjustable and fixed versions, but are not sure if that will make any different to having a fixed 24V input (it never drops below that, apart from at power off).

Thanks and regards,

Art
