Alex,

The FLT pin (ILIM pin in the other versions) has a high voltage ESD cell to VBB. As long as FLT pin voltage does not exceed VBB, the device will behave as expected.

Thanks for clarify. Do you think the datasheet description l indicated in my post would mislead users for the /FLT pin voltage rating? Can team correct it? Thanks.

Hi Alex,

This is a specific application example where 5V will work for the microcontroller. We do not have plans to change the datasheet at this time but we will take your feedback into consideration. We will monitor this and make a decision about a datasheet change in the future.
