TLC6C5712-Q1: Questions about LED on/off control and diagnose

Part Number: TLC6C5712-Q1

Hi team,

I have 2 questions of TLC6C5712Q1:

1) Suppose I have two groups of LEDs, each controlled by two LED Drivers The requirement is that these two sets of LEDs need to be on/off at the same time, will there be a delay in this way, or will cause the situation that it cannot be on and off at the same time?

2) For TLC6C5712Q1, we would like to know about the logic of diagnosis?

Could a diagnosis be made for each channel? That is to say, could it be done each channel independently? Is the diagnosis sent to the MCU via SPI or Fault? What types of diagnosis could it support when under the such independently diagnose requirement?

  • Hi Zirui,

I suggest you close or respond to the opening thread before opening a new one Slight smile

    1) How many LEDs do you want to light on at the same time? Because one TLC6C5712Q1 has a SPI that supports multiple devices. There is no delay between these devices.

    2) Yes, of course. Each channel can be diagnosed independently.  MCU via SPI  to the ERROR pin.  All the diagnosis on the datasheet can be supported.

  • Thanks for your reminder and suggestions.
