BQ25619: How to test the power efficiency of boost mode and charger mode?

I have a BQ25619EVM and don't have lithium battery, My laboratory equipment includes:

one electric load,

one digital power supply,

one voltmeter

one oscilloscope.

I wander:

How to test the power efficiency of boost mode in light load?(without battery), my electric load settable current is 1.5mA, how can I create a uA level load? connect a big resistor in PMID?

How to test the power efficiency of charger mode ?(without battery)

when I pull CE pin to ground(disable charger mode as datasheet shows), what happened in the internal of BQ25619?Just charging logic be disabled? can I use boost mode at this time?

Hi,

In charge mode, please refer to https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management-group/power-management/f/power-management-forum/907039/bq25892evm-664-vsys-stability-using-hp-6063b-electronic-load-for-battery on how to test with battery simulator.

When charge is disabled, the charge current is 0A, but the SYS output is still supported by valid VBUS.

In boost mode, if a four-quadrant supply (sources current) is not available, it is ok to use a power supply capable of supplying 4.5 V with necessary current capability from BAT+ and GND.
