TPS55340: SW pins are not visible

Part Number: TPS55340

Hi Team,

May I ask for your help and expertise? While assisting our customer I received a concern as stated below:

"I am looking for a SPICE model for TPS55340 for simulation using TopSpice."

Then I provide all available model that can be seen in the TPS55340 product page in the link below:
TPS55340 data sheet, product information and support | TI.com

But I received additional concern from our customer:

"When I import the SLVM589B.ZIP Model file, the SW pins are not visible."

May I ask if you can help me about the concern pertaining to SW pin?
I hope to receive your response and thank you so much in advance.

Kind regards,
Gerald

  • Hi, Gerald,

The model runs well in my Pspice system. Please see images below.

    Could customer do the following:

    1. Show step by step import information? like error or warning message, images of during import, so that we could understand what is going on.

    2. Since the lib model is available, customer could build an TPS55340 symbol in "TopSpice" by themselves and associate symbol with the lib model in "TopSpice" environment.

    Thank you.

  • Hi Zhiyang,

    Thank you for your response.
Kindly see below as our customer feedback:

    "
The problem is that there is a problem while importing Top Spice. I am sharing the email sent by TopSpice with you.

    **********************************************************************************************************************
    Dear TopSpice User:

It seems the model import utility was getting confused by some of the PSpice syntax used in the model netlist. Although the syntax is correct it is not widely used.

We will fix the issue with the model import utility in the next update.

  • Hi, Gerald,

This information from customer is not clear. It only says there is a problem, but no information about what the problem is.

Please have customer download the following two files in one folder, and then run the file "TPS55340_TRANS_Test_1.cir" in TopSpice.

If it works, customer could start their simulation circuit from there.

If it does not work, please collect all the messages from each step in TopSpice and send over to me. If customer could have screenshot of each step, that is very helpful.

    Thank you.
