TPS65218D0: Problem with TPS65218D0 and reboot from linux

Part Number: TPS65218D0

Hi TI,

I have an AM437x based design, the PMIC is the tps65218d0.

Everything works, the only problem is with the command linux: sudo reboot, the system shuts down.
Do you have any idea why this happens?

Where can I find information about the relationship between the linux command and the impact on the hardware?

Attached is the schematic related to the TPS. The design is very similar to the EVM, only the PB and AC_DET pins change. Could this be the problem?

Thank toy very much.

  • Hi,

I have reviewed the connections for the PMIC and don't see any issues (assuming the pull up resistors for the I2C exist just that were placed on a different page of the schematic). I did noticed the differences on PB and AC_DET compared to the EVM but those should be OK. PB can have just a pull up to 5V and AC_DET can be tie to GND. I will refer this E2E to the processor team so they can help with the linux command.

    Thanks,

    Brenda

  • Tankyuo very much.

Correct, the resistors are on another schematic sheet.
