TPS65217: Can VLDO2 be left floating?

Hello,

Currently the VLDO2 is connected to SYS (VINLDO) through a 0ohm resistors, no cap. VLDO2 is not being used in the design and was disabled.

When the PMIC goes to sleep, it is pulling ~10mA from the battery. No power source on the AC and USB. Removing the 0ohm resistor, leaving VLDO2 floating, the sleep current is much lower, <1mA.

Can VLDO2 be left floating in the final design?

Hi Rafi,

Is LDO2 disabled on register 0x16 (bit LDO2_EN), excluded from the sequencer on register 0x1B (bit LDO2_SEQ) and excluded from PGOOD on register 0x0D (bit LDO2PGM)?

Per application note "TPS65217x Schematic Checklist (Rev. C)", we recommend connecting VLDO2 to a voltage higher than output voltage expected if it is not used. Just for your reference, I'm also adding below the link to an E2E where this question was asked before.
