TPS61391EVM-058: Connection and BOM issue

Part Number: TPS61391EVM-058
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS61391

We bought a TPS61391EVM-058 for evaluation months ago.

We are going to build the boost circuit in our design. However, we are confused with something in the user guide ( www.ti.com/.../slvubs9.pdf ).

1. On page 4 of the user guide, a schematic is shown. We found the pin 1 of U1 (TPS61391) is connected to the power [AVCC] in the schematic, however, it is NC pin and should be left "not connected", right?

2. On page 5 of the user guide, a BOM is shown. The part number of U1 is written as [TPS61391RGT], but we could found just [TPS61391RTER] and [TPS61391RTET] in it's datasheet. Is [TPS61391RGT] a typing error?

  • Hi Shean,

You are right. The pin1 is NC pin and should be floating or connected to GND. TPS61391RGT is an obsolete version in our system. In EVM, pin 1 is connected to AVCC but it will not influence normal behavior so it is not corrected. Sorry for the confusing.
