What's the difference between SO-MOD (DVE) | 16 and SOIC-16 package?
Thanks,

Hi team,

Scarlett,
The SO-MOD (DVE) package used by UCC12051-Q1, UCC12041-Q1, UCC12040 and UCC12050 is a wide body SOIC package. The wider body is necessary to help designers meet creepage clearance requirements driven by the need to achieve HV isolation spacing. All four variants are functionally equivalent but the UCC12040 and UCC12041-Q1 are 3-kVrms rated while the UCC12050, UCC12051-Q1 are 5-kVrms rated. The width of the SO-MOD (DVE) compared to a standard 16 pin SIOC package is 7.6 mm verses 4 mm. The pin pitch and length are the same but the DVE width is nearly 2x wider by comparison.
Thanks for connecting through E2E. Do you have a project or application you can share?

Hi Steve,
Thanks for your prompt reply. So can I understand that it is the same project as DW SOIC-16(10.3mm*7.5mm)?
