Short part. Will a BMS with the BQ20Z80 go into a shutdown mode and not store the reason (set flag) for shutdown?
Little bit of background. We are supplied a battery. We test the battery to verify it is fit for purpose. Part of this test requires 2 full discharges and 2 full charges. Seeming randomly, in the range of 1 in 6 full discharges, the BMS will go into a full shutdown mode. The BMS is password protected so we are unable evaluate/reset the BMS. We have to send it back to the supplier. The are telling us a permanent shutdown flag is set but there is not other flags. IE, no under voltage, over current, over temperature flag is set.
