LMQ61460-Q1: 1V output option

Hi,

We want to use the LMQ61460-Q1 for a 1V/2A output option , with 12V input ( it is the minimum output voltage that is possible according to the data sheet). The WEBENCH doesn't support this option ,

I receive the following error:

Can you please check if this converter is compatible for this application?

If not, what other options do you have which are automotive and has a high efficiency?

Hi Anna.

Please see the an exported WEBENCH design that I just generated for 12Vin|1Vout|3A.

This solution should work for your application.

Since the feedback voltage reference is 1V, if you want 1V output, you will need to tie FB directly to the output rail.

Can in cause certain problems with the output (like more noise, ripple, etc)?

If it does, how do you suggest to solve it ?

Hi Anna,

I don't think there should be any issues operation-wise.

As for noise and ripple, it would depend on your output capacitance, board layout, etc.
