TPS2561: Relpacing TPS2561DRCR with TPS2003DRCR/CT

Part Number: TPS2561

We are currently using a TPS2561DR in our design; however due to this part being out of stock with a long lead time, we are looking for a direct part swap. This part is being used to limit power current of USB and SATA power supplies (+5V). What are the functional differences between the TPS2561DR and the TPS2003DR when supplying and outputting +5V with these ICs?

Additionally, what is the difference between TPS2003DRCR and TPS2003DRCT? From what I could understand, the only difference is the package quantity, thus having no influence on function of the IC at all.

  • Hi John,

    1. TPS2561 current limit is adjustable. TPS2003 oc is fixed.

    2. TPS2003 is with output discharge function but TPS2561 not.

    3. TPS2003 is with 4.5V to 5.5V operating voltage. For TPS2561, the range is from 2.7V to 5.5V.

    4. TPS2003DRCR and TPS2003DRCT are the same parts.
