TPS7B82-Q1: Pin6 floating (HVSSOP)

Hi Team,

Due to some reasons, we need to leave pin6 as floating. But we will connect pin4/5 to GND. Does it have any risk? I'm not sure if the pin4/5/6 were connected each other internally.

Hi,

For your description, I assume you are talking about 8-Pin HVSSOP DGN Package.

Have you encountered the problem of insufficient PCB rooms? TPS7B82 have many package option.

I'm not quite sure about that, hope someone else can help you.

Hi Dingmin,

We use the TPS7A66-Q1 before, but there is shortage issue. We would like to change to use TPS7B82-Q1, but we dont wat to modify the layout so pin6 may be leave floating. I would like to know if there is any risk to do the action.

Hi Roy,

I've confirmed that pin 6 can be left floating or tied to GND.
