TPS54561: Difference between TPS54560 and TPS54561

Part Number: TPS54561
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS54560, TPS54560B

Dear team

The customer would like to know, what is the difference between TPS54560 and TPS54561?

Could you help to recommend?

Many thanks

Denny

  • Hi Denny,

The TPS54560 is not recommended for new designs. I'd suggest look at the TPS54560B instead and this is p2p compatible with TPS54560.

The TPS54561 is a 10 pin device which has a controllable softstart pin, while the TPS54560/B is a 8 pin device without controllable softstart.

If customer cares about inrush current or providing power supply sequencing, then I'd suggest using the TPS54561 10 pin device.

    Regards,

    Jimmy
