Hi,

We are using TPS566231 on our custom board to generate a 5V with up to 4.5A current. this 5.0V buck feed other DC-DC convertors likeTPS62865 and TPSM82823 to generate more voltages.

Looking on table 8-2 in the datasheet, I see 220uF is the maximum Cout you are recommended, is this the maximum value we can use for 5.0V customers including caps on TPS62865 and TPSM82823?

And what is the max Cout of TPS62865 and TPSM82823 ?

The cap value recommended in 566321 includes the total output value.

For 62865, 82823, please create separated thread to check with corresponding team

Hi,

Our design include FPGA, decoupling requirement for FPGA ~ 400uF.

Do you see any problem by using 566321 buck? if so can you suggest me alternate buck can support Cout >400UF, current 3-4A, input voltage range 4.5V to 18V

Could you please share the sch? And also share the cap ESR value? And some should be close to 566231 converter, some are far from it, right? I will try to do simulation to check it.
