LM76003-Q1: Data OTA and Oscillator voltage of PWM stage

Part Number: LM76003-Q1

Hello together,

I have two questions about data, which i cannot find in the data sheet:

1. Can you provide me the transfer-function of the internal OTA used as error amplifier?

2. What is the peak-peak voltage of the oscillator voltage used in the pwm stage?

I need these values to complete my calculations regarding stability.

with kind regards

Stefan

  • Hello Stefan,

This isn't information that we typically disclose.

You can use Webench Power Designer to get started with a design and simulate the phase and gain margin for a given set of operating conditions and passive component values.

The best way to ensure a stable design will be to test your desired operating conditions on an EVM and run a frequency response measurement using a frequency analyzer.

  • Ok thank you Harrison Overturf. Do you have any information about how to simulate the gain and phase margin of a converter in a spice simulator?

    Regards,

    Stefan

  • Hello Stefan,

In order to simulate the gain and phase margin of a converter you will need an average model for the device in question. Unfortunately for the LM76003-Q1 does not have an average model available only transient models. Your best option will be to simulate your design using Webench and get gain and phase information from there.
