Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS62865
Hi,
What is the recommended total output value cap (Cout) for TPSM82823 device?
Thanks

Hello Suliman,
I would recommend the same thing here as the thread you opened with TPS62865.
Let me know if you need any further help.
Thanks a lot!

Hi Dorian,
The training video helped me to calculate the optimum output cap, I'm using as well PDN simulation tool which include Ztarget and noise based on PCB and FPGA parameters.
I get 110uF, using TPS62865 I think it's good enough because the max Cout is 150uF maximum.
I'm wondering if I can use with 110uF the module TPSM82823?
Thanks,
Hello Suliman,
It is stated in TPSM82823 that: "The recommended typical output capacitor value is 2 × 10-µF or 1 × 22-µF with an X5R or X7R dielectric. Values over 47 µF can degrade the loop stability of the converter". I would in this case not recommend to go up to 110uF at the output.
Would you be able to go with two times TPS62865 ? Or are we talking about the same power rail ?
Let me know if you have nay further questions.
Thanks a lot!
Regards,
Dorian
Hi Dorian,
Thank you for the clarification, I'm talking for another rail, I can use TPS62865 for rails require Cout over 47uF
Thank you very much for the great support.
