TPS25982: Continuous Switch Current Vs. Temperature

Part Number: TPS25982

Hi team

Could you help give the curve of "Continuous Switch Current Vs. Temperature" for TPS25982?

Load current is about 13A and the customer wants to know the output current capability under higher temperature like 85C.

Let me know if you have any questions.

  • Hi Shawn,

We do not characterize "Continuous Switch Current Vs. Temperature. We characterize time to thermal shutdown Vs. power dissipation. With increase in current as power dissipation  increases device will hit fast the thermal shutdown temperature threshold as compared to lower current. So device can handle 13A at 85C , its the power dissipation that will decide for how long it can handle.
