LM5117: LM 5117 DESIGN PROBLEM

Part Number: LM5117
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM25145

Hello, we are still working (with a lot of troubles...) on this design, . Now we are using this mos : SUD23N06.

With SUD23N06 we can get up to 13A withut problem. We need to set a current  limit at 10A. Which is the correct way to do it?

The controller we are trying to realize has two identical power channel, I mean two LM5117 configured to source two indipendent  12v 10a channels.

The two channels are absolutely the same. They share the same schematic, but a different layout.

One channel now works, the other fails at power on.  We can esclude schematic and/or pcb errors.

Could be design layout so critical?

Maybe our last chance will be switch from LM5117 to another device. Can you suggest a different power controller easier to configure and design with?

We need an output of 12V 10A from a 30-42Vdc input.

Thank you in advance
