Hello,

 We are looking for a lithium ion battery charger IC that matches our requirement given below. Could you please help us in finding a suitable match for our requirement or suggest an alternate solution.

 

Battery Chemistry

Lithium Ion

1S-4S or 1S-5S (Preferred)

Charge Current

Configurable between 100mA to 8A

Current regulation accuracy

+/- 1% or +/-10mA (whichever is greater)

Max Battery pack voltage

17.4V or 21.75V(Preferred)

Voltage regulation accuracy

+/-25mV

Control Interface

I2C, SMBus

 

We have identified BQ25731 : What is the minimum charging current that can be set ? We 100mA. +/-10mA current.  Kindly suggest IC which is close to this requirement.

    Hi Arvind,

    For 1S-5S range, both BQ25730 and BQ25731 can both meet your requirement. The difference is that BQ25730 is a BATFET part while BQ25731 is not.

    Here is some reference for regulation accuracy. More information is available on the EC table of the datasheet.



    64mA step can be achieved with a charge current range of 0A to 8.128A.
