Are there any advantage or requirements of using this type of caps?

You can use solid polymer capacitor from companies like Murata as well.
These are basically caps with smaller size and lower ESR than the traditional aluminum caps.
You could as well use the alternative caps offered by WeBench on the LMZ12010 page (middle close to bottom of the page):
