BQ2040: Bq2040 support with EV2300 or EV2400

Dear All,

I have few bms board with bq2040 and I want to configure them with bqstudio. I have both EV2300 and EV2400. I need EV software and driver to use this on windows 10.
I tried with SLUC013 but got an error that "This app can't run on your PC".

If there is any way to configure these BMS with EV2300 or EV2400 Please help.

Hello Aman,

The bq2040 software is very old, perhaps 16-bit Windows software. You may have better luck using old Windows versions like Windows 2000 or may be even Windows XP.

Thanks for the reply. Are there any new add on available for BQ2040 to be used with the new bqEVSW? Because its hard to arrange this old system now. If any other solution available please help.

Hello Aman,

You can use any software that reads SBS registers for reading data from bq2040. For configuration, it is unlikely that there is any other software available. If your EV2300 was not recognized by Windows 10, then you could try MKST-3P-ALT-EV2300, however based on your description, it looks like the software itself does not run. There are different compatibility modes on Windows 10 to run older programs. I recommend that you look into that option if you cannot get a PC with an older operating system.

Hi Shirish,

I tried solution that you suggest but nothing seem to work.

Can you suggest a new part no that can replace this BQ2040 so that I can configure that with EV2300 or EV2400 with bqstudio? If possible let me know at earliest I can go for that.
