TPS40131: TPS40131 using CSD87350Q5D power stage

Hi team,

Customer used TPS40322 + 2 x CSD87350 in their project, however due to shortage of TPS40322, they need to change to another solution. Now they find TPS40131 get stock, so they check with us if TPS40131 could work with 2 x CSD87350, and they could use this solution. Could you help check about this solution?

Hello,

TPS40322 and TPS40131 are similar in term of drive capability. Both parts can drive CSD87350 power FET. Both parts are PWM Buck controller. Here is the main difference:

TPS40322 controls 2 independent outputs for example 3.3V and 5V. TPS40131 is for interleaved solution, so it does not control 2 independent outputs.

Hi Will,

Could you provide more detail operating condition then I can check with my team?

Like VIN, VOUT, IOUT of each rail(it looks like you need two rails), w/ or w/o interface(SVID or PMBus)

Hello,

This additional information may help. TPS40422 is a dual back controller and has the same drive capability as TPS40322. TPS40422 has a digital interface and this is the main difference compared to TPS40322.
