TPS54311: simulation options

Part Number: TPS54311
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SWITCHERPRO, , TPS54310

Hi Team,

May I ask for help? Our customer is using several TPS54311 devices in their designs. They used SwitcherPro to Simulate these when they were designed in. They would like to redo some of simulations, but cannot find SwitcherPro on the website any longer. Is it possible to get a copy of this software, or is their newer S/W that supports the TPS54311?

I already check Design tools & simulation in the product folder of TPS54311 and would still like to know your inputs/advise. Thank you so much.

Kind regards,
Gerald

  • Hi Gerald,

SwitcherPro is no longer supported by TI.

This device is not available on Webench. So PSpice seems to be the best software to simulate it. An unencrypted transient PSpice model is available in the Design tools & simulation folder. What kind of simulation is the customer looking to perform?

    Best regards,

    Varun

  • Hi Varun,

Thank you for your response. I am sorry but it seems that there was an error from my customer query. My customer said: There are two errors in my original chat. We are looking to simulate the TPS54310 instead of TPS54311, but we did use SwitcherPro the 1st time and are looking to re-simulate.

I already handled the 2nd error that the customer mentioned. As for the 1st concern regarding SwitcherPro, Is the answer the same from your last reply? Kindly confirm.

Thank you again and kind regards,
    Gerald

  • Hi Gerald,

If it's the TPS54310, then there exists both PSpice Average and Transient models. Yes SwitcherPro is no longer supported.

    Best regards,

    Varun
