BQ51013B: FOD Calibration

Hello TI Support team,

I have a project with BQ51013B and I need to calibrate FOD resistor since I do have metal around the charge coil. As you already know the Aid tool is not available anymore and all of TI documents are based on that tool. also bq500212A is not available and the information is not much to use it even if it was. I need your help please to see if there is any other way to calibrate FOD. I can measure every specs in my system and also the amount of TX power that I am planning to use.

Sorry that was a typo. I mean Avid tool: Qi FOD Transmitter v1.1 - Avnet AVID (avid-tech.com)

The link you mentioned is just a software that getting used in FOD calibration process. per TI document (SLUA731), I have to get the tool from AVID and that tool is not available and Avid is not making that anymore. this software needs some parameters that should come from Avid tool and that is mentioned in TI documents as well.

Without Avid Qi FOD Transmitter tool, the whole TI documentation is not useful anymore. my question was if TI recommends any other method to calibrate FOD or not.

I am seeing some people have the same issue like mine and they brought it up in here. but the answer to them is working with TI privately. I am not sure what the solution will be for this big issue.
