TPS7B88-Q1: Negative Transient Testing

Hey Team,

I have a customer that is looking for a LDO that has negative input voltage protection. I was wondering if the TPS7B88-Q1 would have any protections like this since I don't see it explicitly in the datasheet.

If not, what other device would you suggest that has this feature?

We are hoping for a TO-252 3-pin package to replace the LM2936-Q1 but open to all suggestions. 150mA capability is the lowest current needed. Thanks for the help!

Hey Dajon,

It sounds like you are looking for a device that has "reverse polarity" or "reverse voltage" protection (often needed if a battery can accidentally be installed backwards. Unfortunately TPS7B88-Q1 does not have this feature and would need a protection device placed before the LDO to protect it.
