ISO5852S: Maximum total safety power

Hi team,

My customer is considering to replace ISO5452 by ISO5852S, but he has a question about the maximum safety total power. 1225mW is allowed at ISO5452, but it's 225mW at ISO5852S as shown in below. It looks same condition but the value is different.

Is it just a typo, and the actual maximum safety total power is also 1225mW at ISO5852S?

Yes.

The other ISO5x5x datasheets have it correctly as 1255mW.

Also it is mathematically calculated based on TJMAX, thermal resistance, and ambient temp.

If you do solved for Max power allowed as below:

TJMAX = Pmax * RthetaJA + TA

you get

150C = Pmax * 99.6C/W + 25C

Solving for Pmax you get exactly 1255mW. This is how we define it in the datasheets, so the 255mW is actually quite incorrect and a mistype.
