I was using this studio without any issue with same IC now had to do some changes with new IC's all of them are showing "auto detected device is :0100_0_06" which is not is the list of gauges i think this is the problem.

I have tested with new BQstudio Stable version 1.3.101 with updated Chemistry version 869.

still same problem .

How to resolve this? and what will happen if i connect it with the "0100_0_16-bq34z100G1" as of now there are few registers I can't read or some i can't write, is it possible that it can damage the IC?

Hello Deepak,

You may have received a different batch of ICs that have a different firmware version.Manually selecting another version can cause issues. Are you still getting " auto detected device is :0100_0_06" with that IC? If yes, then it may still be usable.

Okay got your point thank you for letting me know , is it possible that we can send it to you and you can upgrade the firmware or you can give us something to work around as we bought it from Digikey and TI inventory is Zero this can happen on further purchases too.

also why on updating chem profile it is successful yet it says "target bqz container is old and needs to be updated" in IC lot before this but chem profile returns updated Chem ID and everything looks Fine. i see no reason for why this occur or effects in other discussion either.

Hello Deepak,

You will have to update the firmware at your end.

The message on updating chemistry is seen on some devices. It is a warning. Normally learning cycle is run later and then accuracy is verified. If accuracy is good, then you can ignore the message. So far i have not heard of anyone having issues because of the warning.
