Would you please help me select TI multiphase buck controller solution for PoE application?

Requirement:

Vin: 60Vdc

Vout: 54.5Vdc

Power: 4000W

Hi Kygo,

Please complete the LM5143 quickstart calculator for this design and send for review. Consider using at least 4 phases for a 5456V/73.4A (4kW) solution.

1.May I know why you suggest 4-phase implementation?

(Cause I see LM5143 Vo could support 55V & Io could support 100A, It is 5kW that could support customer spec 4kW)

2. Our LM5143-Q1EVM-2100 is dual channel, snva870 is 4-phase implementation. Can I apply for the snva870 board? THX

Hi Kygo,

1. You would likely need at least 4 phases to support 100A, depending on airflow, max ambient temperature, etc. Please use the quickstart calculator to calculate losses in each FET for your particular design spec.

2. SNVA870 is just an application note -- the corresponding design is not available as an orderable EVM. However, you could order two EVMs and modify as needed for a multi-phase solution.
